Thread: Guide to Insta-Conquer LVL10 NPC for Forward Base

    Hi

Can someone explain this camp thing a bit more thorough. I understand camp time is used to make your troops camp before they attack?

If I understand at least part of this..you use 5 cities to attack with (lvl 9 rally). You then check how long it takes to send archers and warriors from that city. And then you check the time to send warriors from the cities that are closer to the npc city you are after?
You then send the X waves of attackers from the city farthest away with a camp timer so that it lands just before the other 4 cities? And then with the remaining 4 cities who send only warriors, they basically just land after the initial attack?

    Thorough explanation is appreciated

Yes that is basically it. When you send your spearhead attacks check the arrival time in the lower right corner of the attack window. Then I have the second spearhead attack about 30 seconds after that. Then all other attacks to arrive about 1 minute after the first spearhead. Send the 10k of warrior and check the arrival time, then increase the camp time so that the arrival time changes to approximately 1 minute after the spearhead.

So for expample let say your initial spearhead is set to land at 10:18:00 then the second wave should land at 10:18:30. I would then set all 10k warrior waves to land between 10:19:00 - 10:20:00. To achieve this time just increase the camp time to get 10:19:00 so the remain 38+ attacks land between 10:19:00 and 10:20:00. As you increase the camp time the arrival time will increase.

Please note that due to difference in speed in troops and location of cities you may need to camp your spearhead attack. So that they do not get there too far ahead of the warrior attacks or even worse after the warrior attacks. I always set up my attacks and check the arrival times before actually sending the attack, that way I can plan it out first.

I does work it just takes careful planning. Hope this helps.

Darn..two first attacks worked out well enough, but then I had 5 waves of 10k warriors who all died...
I guess I have to send 30k warriors and 30k archers for a couple more waves...

This is an excellent guide as long as you follow it to the letter.

I tried it and it worked first time I used 1 wave of 100k archers, then 1 wave of 50k archers then 38 waves of 11k warriors.

The biggest loss i took was 26k archers from the first wave.

Always make sure you scout the NPC until you find a low level hero inside then don't scout again and that hero will stay during the whole attack.

Thank you so much for this guide.

Default less than 40 attacks to take npc

I posted an attack on a lvl 9 for a forward attack city: http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?t=78517

I used mainly archers and warriors for the waves, but I did have a few cavalry/cataphract waves as well mixed in. I think this helps to break down the loyalty even faster. I had well over 40 waves set, as I expected 41 to take the city, but was pleased with the faster results. The idea of using cavalry is borrowed from the youtube video where the level 10 npc was taken with nothing but cavalry/cataphract in 5 minutes.

Roughly estimate that each wave of 10k cav/5k cat will break down the loyalty as quickly as 2 or more waves of archers/warriors.

I really like this guide and do not think this tactic is used to it's fullest advantage. Speed/timing and the surprise of the attack really make the difference.

My host did it in 18 seconds.

I did it in 36 seconds.

First get a stop watch online count down. Then time all your cites to the NPC 10. Get out your best hero, a 300 will be great. 200 is good also. Send a wave to find the minimal losses for the break through first wave. Then have 4 25k archer waves as your second major waves.

Back to timing all your waves. Start with the city the farthest out, again ETA them all and write them down. Might aswell as put the 100k rainbow at the farthest city. Add a minute or two to that camp time.

And set the timer 10 seconds less than your first wave. Hit send, and 10 seconds later start your online stop watch. As it counts down you can send a couple of waves when it is below a few seconds from the main hit. That is when you want to make sure that you manipulate the timer to send the 4 25k waves to hit 2 to 4 seconds after the main.

Then move to the next farthest city. Line up 10 10k archer waves and whatever else you want to put in them. Manipulate the timer, and try to let them hit -10 seconds after your main wave, and make certain after the 4 25k waves. Then go to the next, 10 10k archer waves. You can even do 5k waves, but i always liked to do 10k of something, set them to hit after 10 seconds, and just send them out. You can do it twice if you want them to hit tight. Just be sure to adjust the camp time, and wait for the stop watch to roll around.

I forget how many waves I sent, but 60 might be a good number. I seem to remember maybe by the 38th hit I got it.
