As for those online translators, well... let's just say they're not always "on the mark". Better than nothing though. And I don't say you should never use them. Just...For example, I'm not sure I get your last phrase. "fait l'eloge" makes no sense in that context. I'm guessing (I've never come across one of them) these programs use some form of literal translation. That's always a mistake when translating.
