Thread: Warehouse Strategy

    Default Warehouse Strategy

I have just one city and get constantly raided by bigger people. This makes it hard to expand my city because of the amount of resources needed for high level buildings.

I have read that wharehouses are usless and a waste of space. But my thought was to make 4 wharehouses and bump up their storage capacity ability via the Academy. This way I can at least save some resources to do stuff and will be less likely to be raided all the time.

Then as I get to L10 Walls, Archery, Townhall I can build up my AT and start fighting back.

    Thoughts?

I am going to try it out and see how it goes and will write back here. Hate having so many wharehouses but if I can store up my stone and wood then I can expand everything else in my city. Just need to figure out how to keep my gold from being pillaged all the time. Maybe I need to just store up a load of wood, sell it, then I train at the academy...

I suggest closing your gates and keep all your resources spent building troops, finding an alliance who can help protect you (join the one of the people who are hitting you?) or teleport away. Building warehousess may appear to help a little in the short term but in the long run you will just be gimping your city.

Plus they may already have privateering anyway so the warehouses won't help.

Bummer. Guess I should have read all of the abilites. Someone maxed out will cream me reguardless. Oh, well. Seeing I built multiple wharehouses I will continue on my strategy. Guess there is no easy way for new players to be close to established players and be successful in the long term. If I am able to build up enough maybe I can get into an alliance that can help.

You can build warehouses when the city is new and at risk, and then deconstruct them later when it is well fortified.

    Unless they have privateering.

And in my opinion you are going to have a hard time getting out of risk by using several city tiles as warehouses instead of barracks.

I still think the best chance is finding a safer spot or getting alliance help.

    Good luck!

Joining an alliance and moving away from the pricks is your best option because you simply won't have enough warehouse space to adequately hide enough of your resources to expand your city, and unless you join the alliance of the established prick(s) they will keep stepping on you.
