Default Benefits of Abandoning a city?

I have read the higher the level your Town Hall is, the less prestige you'll gain from building, researching, making troops etc.

I have two cities, and they are at least 50 mins away from eachother and i have been thinking about abandoning my 2nd city to make some NPCs to farm from that are closer to my main city, or closer to an enemy i wish to take out.

    -MY QUESTION IS THOUGH....

If i abandon that second city, and start a new one.. will the fact that i'll be making a new town hall that is a lower level once again, give me a fresh and high prestige gain for that city?

    Thanks

It's not the fact that you get less prestige, it's the fact that it takes longer for things to build and research so it seems like you're getting less - when actually, a building a level 8 townhall will give you more prestige than building a level 7 townhall.

When you start a new city, you will receive prestige more often, but it will be lower amounts of prestige.
    Oh, Let's do it.

Thanks a lot. I've been trying to get this answered for a long time.

Since you're a little more experienced being from server 26, would you think it'd be better to keep my 2nd city, or move closer and start a new one?

Thank you, and good luck to you.

Hm.. it depends on how developed your city is. If it's a city that is underdeveloped, could get attacked easily, and the 50 minutes is too far to transport goods and or troops if needed, then yes it would be the best to abandon and build one closer.

However, if it's a well thriving city, can function on it's own, I think it would be better to keep it. I say this for a few reasons such as you're spread out a little bit which can be an advantage. If somebody in your alliance is being attacking and one city is too far,the other city may be closer. Or one city may be much safer than the other and you can use that city to build up troops and such to transport to eh other city.

Myself, I have 2 cities Bavaria and 1 (maybe more after tonight) in Burgandy. 2 and a half hour transport, but still worth it because all the fighting is done in Burgandy. I can safely make troops quickly in my other cities - without worrying about somebody attacking my city in Burgandy.

It all depends on what you want to achieve in the end. If you want a kingdom that's together and looks menacing and huge, keep your cities together. If you want to be able to spread out and maybe increase your chances of helping your members, having cities far away helps with that.

One last note (Sorry know this is long - am taking over a city and bored waiting for it to happen lol) One thing you can do if you want to spread out, is make a city close to you and feed it resources and gold until it is nice a healthy, then teleport it randomly within the state. Just another little idea. I'm all for spreading out lol.
    Oh, Let's do it.
