Dancer

In her eyes I seek upon an inner peace
To show me the way of love
Upon a pedestal she moves with her grace
A wondrous angel from up above

In this place of sin and sorrow
The battlefield of evil and good
I saw with my own two eyes
To make a choice, I said “I would”

She covers herself up with thickened skin
But only the softest touch I feel
The irony that she dances in the nude
I will wait until it all peels

In my mind it rains with delusion
Paranoid thoughts and former broken relationships
But my heart tells me otherwise
A purity of light, love in the taste of her lips

Though she wants me to be
A scared little girl claws at her restlessly
In my chest I pant and yearn for her
But I suffer from the dark seeds that blur

My vision is disabled and I cannot see
But my heart has sight where eyes cannot be
And now I am nothing more then blind
So head first I must dive within the love that binds
