    Does anyone else find this annoying where people repeatedly open and close their gates repeatedly when attacking? I mean to the point of where someone can pick and choose which army they want to fight if they are even 1 second apart, is absurd. There ought to be a 5 minute timer per city or something, where if you open or close the gates, you can't change them again for 5 minutes, or even make it take some amount of time (maybe not quite 5 minutes) to take effect once selected. It's not realistic to do that either, things are heavy and take time, and having opposing armies bounce off like red turtles off of star mario cause someone's buttmuppeting the gates is weak sauce.

    It's also not realistic that a farm can be built in 30 seconds. Point is, alot of things in this game are far from realistic. I think that opening and closing gates is a smart way to handle attacks.

    Its a great tactic when handled properly.

    Its unrealistic to expect everyone you attack to just roll over and play dead because it happens to suit your purpose. Wait till you have 40 attacks heading toward your city and see how much you appreciate it then.

    In the last week, I have been attacked by such with about 20k ballistas, 400k archers, 600k warriors, a sotting lot of scouts, and various rainbowed crap. I killed them all and lost all of 25k warriors, 35k pikes, 1k swords, a few archers, and whatever cavalry I forgot to send away first. The point of my argument was less about realism and more about how the lack of a timer is more of an abusable mechanic with no integral purpose. People should be able to open and close their gates when they see an incoming army, they should not be able to happily pinball the army of their choice when under attack by multiple waves within short timespans. Mind you I already have tactics to get around this (other than waiting for the person to log off) I'm just pointing out that it it's an annoying mechanic and just further widens the disparity between hitting someone when they're at the computer and when they aren't. That shouldn't be the primary factor in determining the outcome of an attack.

    It is also not realistic for an army of 100k to march a mile in 6 minutes, but no one complains about that. Our armies must all be world class sprinters.

    It's not realistic for 100,000 "scouts" to creep up on a city unnoticed, or to engage in a fight with the defending 60,000 scouts which the regular army fails to notice and join in on..

    Are you saying put a timer on the opening/closing gate thing so people close their gates for the first wave, then open em for the second (plundering w/ transporters) wave and completely own it?

    I mean, it's a good defensive strategy the way it is right now; that being said, maybe even a one minute timer would be sufficient, and I could agree with it, because this game is already way too defensively minded.

    I think this game should be set so that when Sekai attacks he gets no defenses and conquer the town immediately without having to waste time in destroying loyalty.

    Dude are you serious.
    Don't get me wrong, I love this game. I just hate the way it's handled.

    in principle... this game needs to be biased towards defenders.. a city is not built within a day.. fyi
