    Default Paying coins to chat!?

So I've just been chatting then quickly realised that I have to pay for it when I ran out of game coins. WTF?

That's just ridiculous! Why would you pay to chat? How is that a good way to build a community?

Stupid idea and a clear sign of the money grabbing developers. I won't be playing this game for long if that continues and certainly feel less inclined to pay for anything.

It's something that's in alot of games, and I think it's a good thing, it keeps people from just setting and spamming and makes them make more of an effort to put them to good use. They just need to make them the cheapest thing and have a pack of like 500 though.

Spam prevention is a flimsy reason to make people pay real money to chat. There are other, better, more effective ways to accomplish the same thing. Using "spam prevention" as an excuse is a cop out.

you dont have to chat like that, its just the quickest way, you can also click on a town and send a message, takes time though.

Funny, it's the only thing I've ever seen work.

But from a 'creating a community' point of view it will not work so well as free chat. And it's the community that will keep people coming back long after they get bored of the game.

People keep saying that, yet you'll find there's plenty of people who will continue to play regardless, so a few lost customers here and there aren't any kind of loss at all.

I'm not saying that's MY opinion. But look what kind of company and game you're dealing with: We have a game that has NO terms of service, NO privacy policy, no clear idea who is behind the game. You can get to the website of the owners of the game, but guess what's there? Nada. No address, no corporate info, no e-mail addresses... not even a WEB FORM to fill out to contact some kind of service rep.

Something tells me they're not exactly interested in quality, not interested in pleasing the vocal minority. They want bulk, and they'll get bulk, and probably make a killing doing it. And after people have ponied up the cash, who are they going to complain to when things go wrong? /Nobody/.

    Default The speaker idea

Frankly, players need Speaker to chat in world. As all can witness the current situation of the world chat, some players are just spamming the chat with vulgar language. The speaker is designed to limit players' "language". If guys are aware that chatting in world cost game coins, they do that with more consideration.
Of course, speaking in alliance and private chats are free. That why we recommend players joining alliance and ask stuff in alliance chat.

I'm not in an alliance yet. Does that cost to chat as well?

No - Alliance chat requires no Speaker tokens.

    Private messages are also free.

    Mail is also free.
