Thread: Hero Farming

    Cool Hero Farming

This is my favorate way to dig for optimal heros.

Hero Farming is EZ. All you need is...

    *A level 1 Inn
*A high level Feasting Hall, level 9 is perferred
*At least 100k gold to spare (If you are on a tight gold budget, see the end of this guide for another alternative.)
    NO HERO HUNTING REQUIRED

An optimal hero at level 1 has 70 in either Politics, Attack, or Intelligence.

A level 1 Inn will spawn heros ranging from level 1 to level 5. (If your Inn is higher than level 1, you will need to demolish it 1 level at a time until it becomes level 1. This is because higher level Inns spawn higher level heros. We want low level heros.)

Our target will be a minimum of 66 at level 1 effectiveness in a stat for heros we will keep. So here will be all the heros we keep depending on level...

    Level 1 hero: 66 minimum
    Level 2 hero: 67 minimum
    Level 3 hero: 68 minimum
    Level 4 hero: 69 minimum
    Level 5 hero: 70 minimum
** If you perfer higher or lower minimum requirements, simply add or subtract as neccesary. For example, if you wanted a minimum of 65, subtract 1 from the minimum. For 70 (which takes a long time and alot of gold, goodluck!) add 4. Ect. **

What you will do is first hire the hero in the Inn. (Don't worry about it's skill levels when hiring. Just do it. You will understand why soon.)
Now go into the Feasting Hall. If the hero does not meet the minimum requirement, dismiss them.
At this point you will go back into the Inn. A new hero will appear. Hire it.

***The Inn will always stay fully stocked, this way you don't need a Hero Hunting item to look for more heros. After hiring a hero and the Inn is empty, leave the Inn and go back into the Inn to refresh the new hero list.***

Now go back into the Feasting Hall and dismiss your new heros if they do not meet the minimum requirement. If they meet the minimum skill requirement, great! Rename it so you know it's a keeper.

***I perfer to name my heros Politics, Attack, or Intell. It makes it easier when appointing my mayor or selecting a hero to lead a march.***

Rinse & repeat, hiring at your Inn and dismissing at your Feasting Hall. The higher your Feasting Hall level, the more heros you can hire before dismissing them, it speeds the process up. If you have keeper heros taking up space in your Feasting Hall, if you wish you can transport them to your other city's Feasting Halls using Reinforce (Just make sure those Feasting Halls have a spare room before you send them. ) Eventually you will have all the optimal heros you want using this process.

As you can see, you need gold to be able to Hero Farm effectively this way. For each level of hero you hire, you burn 1000 of your gold.

If you are short on gold, you do have another option.

The only drawback to demolishing and rebuilding the Inn is it takes alot more steps which will slow the process down to a crawl. Good for new players on a very limited budget though.

    Happy Hero Hunting!

i prefer lvl 1 69 attribute or higher heros great guide just one correction its much easier to recruit max heros then dismiss each one if they don't meet the requirements also its best to have no other hero in this city so you can just keep clicking dismiss in stead of having to click on the heros.

I tried to expand the OP to include strategies for hero hunting using captives. But after much experimentation with attacking different valley levels, I found the quality of captives are so random that it is just not a reliable way to farm for heros, thus I abandoned the task.

    This works like a charm...

Very good info... I was building a high level Inn but got no succes at finding good hero's. This trick got me all the good hero's I needed in a day. Cost me so coins en loads of click but it got the job done.

    Thanks a billion!!!
