You don't get the Swine Flu from consuming pigs at all. It is a mutated strain of Avian Flu and Influenza A, and the only way to get it is if someone(or a pig) sneezes or coughs in your general direction. It is person to person, or person to pig, contact.

As for you saying that everyone is going to die from Swine Flu, that isn't true at all. Major laboratories in all affected countries have already started on a vaccine, and it should be ready, at least in Australia, for initial distribution within 2 months, and for complete nation-wide cover in 6 months.

If the pig has Swine Flu, and you eat the pig..You get Swine Flu.

And plagues are good for society. The old and weak are killed (byebye Florida), there is a distribution of power, and more resources are freed up for everyone. A plague could help stop global warming, drop oil prices, and, in the long run, help the global economy.

Not to say it would be GOOD, but either disease or widespread birth control are the only ways to save society.


Edit: I wouldn't be too sure about vaccination, either. Sure, in developed countries, but poorer ones won't be able to afford huge amounts of it.

Global warming isn't real..the world just happens to be warming up. It would increase oil prices unless we all die, in which case there wouldn't be any need for oil. Lives > Economy

Swine flu is no more dangerous then any other particularly virulent flue strain. It just has a fancy name and spreads well. We get super flues pretty often, people forget that lots of people die from flu every year. It is very common. Swine flu is just the Media panic tactic of the moment. I guess the economy is not causing enough panic anymore.

Besides, about 35,000 Americans die every year from complications from the flu. So, its nothing new, just 'swine'.

I have proof! Look at what happened after the Black Death swept through Europe! Because there were less mouths to feed, hunger all but disappeared, while farmers could start growing luxury crops in their extra space, things like Grapes and Olives. Which boosted their profits.

In fact, I'm willing to bet that if it wasn't for the Black Death, the Renaissance wouldn't have happened.

The only reason it spread because 1) Rats carried it from country to country on caravans. 2) People who died on the street were looted by the poorer peasants and serfs, which gave them the Black Death. 3) People were thrown into the cities by angry knights and warriors.

Last year over 6,000 people died of the Influenza the flu is the flu.Theirs all types of strands of it its always growing stronger .But the government wants you to be afraid.Oh no 150 cases Influenza what about their preexisting health conditions these people may already have ,Who knows if any of the people do or do not have HIV OR AIDS.Or just a weak immune system. NO WORRIES

No. It isn't a "plaque" It isn't something you hang on the wall for a sense of accomplishment.

This Flu is not killing Old people it has killed people with weaken immune systems. And yes it is not being contracted by eating pigs. All those countries that are slaughtering pigs for no reason, that is government at work.
