Last night, Evony introduced a new change whereby I need to inflict at least 10% damage on the enemy before I get to see a battle report. I didn't thought it will be that bad, after all, defenders usually get some advantage.

To take down a town defended by a few hundred thousand troops is not a minor undertaking, as those who have done it can atest. It takes alot of planning and may even need a few players co-ordinating together to reduce the defending troops.

For example, if a town is defended by 15k Archer Towers, 200k archers and other troops as well, even if I use the item and send in 100k archers with 25k other troops, I will not destroy enough to do 10% damage. It'll take many such waves to do it. Even if I send in 100k Rams, there is no guarantee that I do 10% damage.

I believe this rule is to prevent people from sending in 100 warriors and getting to see what is in there. But now, if I send the maximum number of troops with intention of taking down the defences, I am also penalized.

This is very frustrating. The odds are already stacked in the defenders favor, now, I cannot even see how my 100k attacking troops fare. Without this basic intel, I cannot plan my attacks. I cannot tell if my tactics are working or not. I have to use scouts. The problem is if I am attacking from an outpost and my beacon tower is usually lower than the opponents. Therefore the intel is imperfect and slow.

I implore the developers to look for another solution to prevent those who don't have scouts from abusing the system by using 100 warriors to scout. As it is, this blanket rule is making it a nightmare for attackers like me.

I will try it for a few days more, see if I can bear with this new rule and that it does not impede my attacks too much. But as it is now, I am seriously thinking of quiting this game. It is already such a time sink. This rule makes it even more so.
I agree fully.

I spent 400k troops today, and couldn't really tell what my troops were doing. I turned all the follow up waves back.

How am I supposed to manage a large-scale assault, if I can't really tell what is going on?

This is yet another ill-considered and poorly executed game change.

I have, in the past, spent honest money on the game. I will NEVER spend another penny.

The last straw was a while back, although poor evony database security that allowed my host's account to be hacked yesterday was just one more brick.

At some point in the next few months, I, like so many others, will quit playing this game because of stupid **** like this.

I won't regret it, and I will be happy to spend money on a game that works.
