I can't disagree with the statement that customer service has been a bit lacking. I can't argue against the fact that MOST top players in "free" MMO's pay to support their position... although I think a few people have cause and effect reversed here.
What I can say is that even well established games have difficulty quite frequently when they update content. There was PLENTY of warning that the patch was coming and based on past experience with THIS game, let alone any other, it was reasonable to anticipate there would be problems along with the patch.
Would I be ****ed if I spent money and then got screwed by downtimes? Probably, but in this case I would be ****ed at myself for not seeing and preparing for something that was pretty damn obvious.
