And you think I would let my kids be in an alliance I was not part of?
I have played online games since the early '90's. I know full well what type of content passes for Party Chat, Alliance Channel, Buddy Line or whatever term is used regardless how 'good' the chat filter may be.
My stance is that either my kids can be in my alliance, or Evony should provide a way for me to monitor the alliance chat of the alliance my kid is in. BUT THEN, that would not be fair to the other alliance who would be FORCED to trust me not to use any knowledge gained against them as I monitor my kids chat contact.
Imagine the havok someone with accounts in several alliances could cause?!
If my family can't join me here, then we will just go back to playing Civ, Risk or Axis & Allies. Frankly, we enjoy the open ended 24/7 aspect of Evony, but I am not going to leave my children unmonitored in this enviroment no matter how old fashioned it makes me.
Rules exist to prevent abuse. Rules generally only come into being AFTER someone creates an abusive situation or past abuses become well known within a genre.
The best way, in my opinion, to address this is to allow Evony the time to address reported abuses and respond based on the validity/severity of the abuse reported.

@BBQ and others
I have only played here around (probibly under) a month. The others in my household have been here for less time.
Of course, Evony is in business to make money. If they were not in business to make money then it would be dumb for them to be in business. The point is that they have to determine how to address matters with the staff available. Flooding the forums with negative posts does not improve the situation.
Sure, it helps players feel 'more heard' when they air these matters out. Perhaps Evony could/should assign themselves the task of investigating 'x' number of reports per week... purhaps even post their findings and actions taken depending on severity of a rule violation.
My point is... Beating up on the Evony staff too energitically will only do more to dull their interest as they sit at their work desk and stare sullenly at their In Box.
Yes, I know. Some of you just shrugged your shoulders and you could care less about 'Evonies problems' or how full their desk jockies In Box is. Point of interest, however, is that the same people that you just marginalized is the same people you are wanting attention from. I am not sure about you, but when someone belittles me, it does not put me in a hurry to put them high on my list of priorities.
