    Default Where are the so called reinbersment packages we were promased?

    I had to rebuid multiple lv 3 buildings completely 2 times, the rollbag, and bugs ate up atleast 100k in gold, and who knows how many resources, so what's going on with the packages we were promised?

    I'm with my new found Comrade in Words, Zoltor. I had to spend much of my time and money rebuilding due to lost data, such as my level 4 Town Hall reverting to level 3, among other things. We were promised reimbursement. Promises must be kept.

    You could try praying to the Moderator Gods who were spoken of in legends. They supposedly come down from heaven, striking down sinners, glitches, and profanity in World Chat, but they have not been seen for millennia.

    I rather happen to agree. Not once has a mod or anyone else actually responded to our concerns, and all I see are empty and vague promises. Eventually people will get fed up, and angry gamers are NOT fun people.

    I was on during that patch/rollback, too. I tried e-mailing the "special email account" set up to handle issues regarding the reimbursment packages, but... surprise! Nothing but a canned "Your mail has been forwarded to an escalation spe******t for handling." auto-response.

    If they created the e-mail account for this particular issue, why does it need to be forwarded? Meh.

    i bet its 1 guy that set up this entire game from his lounge lol, hence all the forwarding to his hotmail inbox. only 1 mod on the forum each time when hes not on hes online in chat blah blah.

    so lemme get this right, to get reimbursed for what we lost in the rollback we had to sighn up somewere? thats sad, i lost alot of game stuff and real life money in the form of coin i bought. So i just get scat on then?

    Idk what kind of idiots actually throw down considerable amounts of money this early into a game that has been out of BETA for less then a week.

    Honestly, you know for a fact that the administrator doesnt have reliable staff yet, you know there are bugs in the game that you seem perfectly capable and happy about to report and whine until blue in the face ()...

    Why in the Lord's name would you EVER waste your real life money on a game that doesn't have a staff specifically designated to billing issues and needs?

    I like this game... I like its flaws, I like when things they add go correctly, and I dont mind when they want to try new things out that dont go so well.

    In the future, give a game 1 month. 1 solid month. 31 days in public. Give a game that long, and I guarentee you the 99% of what you're crying about will have been submitted by someone with a level head and an open mind like myself in a calm, official, collective way to the administrators, they'll happily work with volunteers in the gaming community, and all of the problems will be solved before you "Preferred Players" show up and have to ruin the game and the forums for those of us that play because we're the best.

    here is the in game letter that was sent to me.

    Dear Civony Community,
    As you are all no doubt aware by now, we experienced some problems with the Civony Live Server during the launch of our latest patch at 3PM CST, April 5, 2009. Accounts were rollback due to a bug that was fixed later. Please keep in mind that the server issues has been resolved and will not affect the delivery of any new content.
    We will be compensating players for the loss of their time and effort. Although we will be unable to confirm or replace individual items & character progress, we are still finalizing a plan for compensation after communicating with players on the forum and in-game. All players who logged in Civony during 1AM CST to 2PM CST, April 5, 2009 will be compensated with a Special Package, which includes:

    Plowshares, Arch Saw, Quarrying Tools, Blower, War Horn, Corselet, Beginner Guidelines, Primary Guidelines, Intermediate Guidelines, Merchant Fleet, Truce Agreement, Holy Water, Hero Hunting, City Teleporter, Anabasis and Cross Medal, one for each.

    In addition, the following plan was open to players who were affected by the server rollback and succeeded to make payments:
    i. During 1AM CST to 2PM CST, April 5, 2009 player who has lost Civony Game Coins (CGC) will be restored 20% extra.
    ii. Lastest payment record before 1AM CST to 2PM CST, April 5, 2009: 100CGC extra for payment between 30USD and 100USD; 300CGC extra for payment over $100.
    Exclusive contact email is reserved for further inquiry regarding the compensation. Please email at escalation@umge.com for more information.

    Items and Civony Game Coins (CGC) compensation package will be delivered within three business days while we are restoring data before the rollback.
    We sincerely apologize the inconvenient causes and look forward with new updates for Civony and appreciate your patience & understanding with this issue.
