RA Salvatore - Dritzz series, as well as the Sellsword trilogy
Anne McCaffrey - Dragonriders of Pern
    Daniel Hood - Familiar Dragon
    Terry Pratchett - Discworld series

Now, there are a couple books that I don't know the authors of, but I enjoyed anyway...

Brother's War - Magic the Gathering Novel (yeah yeah, I know)
Eragon (not bad, a bit simple, but well written)
Give a man fire and it will keep him warm for a day, but set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Didn't bother to read through all of the pages, but I don't usually read books though I did find Anthony Peirs' Xanath Series really interesting. The first book I read was Faun and Games. Really good.

You've been birddoggin' this township a while now. ... Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet I will end you.
