Scouting

Alright I am doing alright I guess overall as a player. Taken some player cities, scouted some things and what not. But being this is my first server I know I don't know half of everything yet alone everything so here is my question.

I have Informatics level10, 114Int hero and sent 15k scouts to inspect my desired target.

I am sending these scouts from a city built for raiding. AKA it has bare bones...academy 5 for relief, farm lv5 for relief and then Inn / FH / Rally / Stable / Relief...basic bare bones raiding city.

Now with this. Would it effect my information gathering in any way?

I am not getting ANYTHING from my scouts. I am lucky to get Resources from my target yet alone construction, troops, fortifications....What am I doing wrong?

Heres a scout report for a level10 lake owned by the person I am attacking (Used a lake for an example of my problem)

Thats 15k scouts, 114 Int hero and lv10 informatics.....I then later figured whatever...sent 100 scouts to attack it and took the place. Nothing was there, no one nada zip zilch ZERO....

When you get a report like that it means that there is no troops occupying the valley, it doesn't have anything to do with you're informatics. You can't get resource information from valleys because rarely is a player dumb enough to hold resources in their valleys. Also depending on what level the city you're scouting in Town hall and beacon tower and # of scouts you may not get much info or anything at all because a level 10 town hall makes it hard to scout and a level 10 beacon tower alerts the army when a scout party is in progress and the scouts will fight off/try erase as much info from enemy scouts as possible.

P.S I believe this is in the wrong forum section, should of posted this in help & questions, though this information could prove useful to new players.

Yea, well, I did the same thing and got a valley with 1 warrior... Annoyed the owner who was waaaay more powerful but a little abject groveling saved the day.

Ya I just posted this here because I didnt see anything about it when looking back 5-10 pages.

But I have also scouted his city and gotten next to nothing like I said earlier.

A friend of mine that scouted him a lot just to annoy him got info every time with less int and lower informatics but slightly more scouts. Think this could be my problem?

The beacon tower lvl as just as important in scouting as your infomatics lvl.
