I have a counter strategy to your valley sniping plan though.

1k archers per valley for protection - as you said. Now, add to that a rainbow. In that rainbow is 1 catapult.

What's that do? Takes the defenders max range in that valley to 2250. The defenders archers are at 1950 range. Your geurilla archers? They got level 10 archery yet? No?

Every 4 hours you make 1k archers? So 1 player has to send sorties of 500 ballistae to your main town once every 2 hours utilizing camp? Will you have the resources? Will you be willing to sacrifice resources if swift cavalry raids swoop in should the ballistae be too far away?

I can see raids of 100k scouts possibly working into this equation somehow too.

It's an interesting idea, don't get me wrong... I'm just not sure it would be worth all the trouble for the person in control of the geurilla city.

Thoughts?

Counters to my counters? The server I play on still has tons of NPC's to farm and we barb more and more by the day so valleys are not needed that much honestly
Attack my city, all you want. Attack it every two hours, attack it every hour, or a dozen times an hour. Do it for days, weeks even. If you stop, for an hour, the Guerrilla will launch another long term attack. Hours, days, or weeks of effort, wasted. Barb your city, an opponent did that, take over a level 10 NPC, with it's one little old Barracks, that should help me shouldn't it? I then shift the attack, that takes a couple hours, to another of your cities, not the former NPC one, and then, it is started all over. You can dynamite a cottage, or deconstruct, expensive or time consuming, you're choice.

Then you have to build the new barracks.

Oh, I also have Archery 10, and Cat's, so your one cat plan, doesn't work either. So sad, so very sad. So 100 archers, and 1 cat, against 105 of my archers, with a Hero advantage, means you lose 100 archers, and a cat, and the valley.

Nice plan, but it assumes that only noobs would be using the tactics.
