I wasn't directing my post at Miza, although she has a strong negative opinion towards tattoos, as is easily discerned from her posts, but it will prevent ALOT of arguments between people if we just keep to nice and simple discussion.
If you want to say something negative about tattoos, say it in a polite intelligent manner, and balance it with something positive, or at least neutral.

In this manner, the pro-tattooers don't feel the need to start raging at people.

This sound like a good enough deal to everybody?

    Well it really depends.

I am actually against tattoos, but it's not really my place to go out and start chewing someone out because they have them. Some tattoos I find to be quite fascinating, actually. Does that mean that I have to respect a person just because they decided to get a tattoo? No, not really. I can respect their deciscion to get a tattoo, though. I personally would stick with the temporary ones, but that doesn't mean other people can't get them done permanently.

I do have to say that when people get them all over their body I find it rather disturbing more than anything. Same with piercings. It sort of sends a message to me that the person got started and then couldn't get stopped again, and it makes the tattoos seem less personal and more just "well I saw it, I liked it, and i got it where there was still some skin left available."

We all have different opinions about them, though, and like StormSurge said we should be able to express them in a polite manner.

Storm, it's my opinion & I'd like everyone to respect it just like I've respect theirs if they get a tat on themselves.. I've already mentioned it to you on MSN so we'd save the arguments for then & there

Avarwen, I agree with you also.. I mean you can't treat someone differently just because they are tattooed. To prove I don't have much against them (I just DON'T want them on ME) is that even my ex had tats.. So of course, I don't mind them (much), I just don't want them. Blah blah blah. I've mentioned everything before.
