I'll give an example of a situation which highlights the internal conflict on the other side of the servers. A player logs on after being away for some 2 weeks to discover they have been made into a mod. The poster's worthiness is not in question but the "promotional process" which led to this circumstance is. How does such a thing happen?

There are regular posters who would make excellent mods, yet, they get overlooked and others who were absent (for whatever reasons - that is immaterial) and come back as mods.

Who is actually running this show?
I agree I think they should only make exisisting players mods. After the Sovverf incident...
