King Midas's touch turned everything to gold. And after he wished for that power and couldn't even eat. He cursed his wish.

So, you are on your third city. Three academies going all the time with research. You have even reduced your tax rate to your populace that is over 150,000 in your three cities. It's at 90%, because you still have to pay your heroes and reward them to keep their loyalty up.

It, takes over a week for level 10 technologies to finish and when they do.. you still have gold up the... well you get the picture.

What to do with it?

Well you still need it for promotion. Hell, I want to keep adding cities. Who doesn't want an empire of ten cities! But still, you don't need the millions you have sitting around.

(And no, I am not going to tell you how much I have. Its an insane amount. If I had this amount of gold in real life. I wouldn't be playing this game. I would be on my own island in the Caribbean.)

What to do with it?

Well, it's not totally useless.

Your fellow alliance members with only one or two cities. They need it to research their own high level technologies. Give it to them! Share the wealth. The problem with that is... they may use it to get strong enough to take you on! Use the gold for stuff like food, stone, lumber and iron to build 100 K in archers. Well, you can always teleport somewhere else.

And still, let someone else deal with it!

Like if some other high level player hits your cities! They bring a huge army with workers and transports! Well, gold is one fifth of what they are going to take. And personally, I would rather keep the other resources. Let them deal with the gold you don't want any way.

Gold, is also a great savings account for when you run out of resources. But, if you are on your third (or more) city... its just being collected. Your resource fields are already probably at level 9.

These are just my thoughts.... musings of a huge savings account I can't get rid of!

(We ought to be thankful that the game does not have a gold mine available for building on resource fields!)
