I love reading Aristotle due to all his works on understanding Life, nature, everything. He really tried to explain all things, and amusingly was pretty close on most. In fact I honestly feel some of his own definitions are better suited then the ones we give in this day and age.
Aristotle is one of my all time favorites, along with Plato. Socrates as well, they all were so advanced for their times, and they were men of great intellect, with some varying views, many of which were massively criticised and sometimes persecuted. Socrates himself was forced to drink hemlock as a result of his views being controversial at the time.
