You are playing Chess with Checkers.
Join his alliance. Better yet, have your whole alliance make a zombie double of his alliance.
Best advice I can give? Quit, go find a game with depth. Your future here is be a farm or be a ballista farmer, feeding 2 mill archers you will never need to use.
Funny you should say that; I'm in a good, large alliance in a war against another large allaince and it's takin' every last member to constantly attack for us to win this war. Even the folk w/ 100k troops are bein' called upon to attack, and the folk w/o an army yet are called to help supply.
the main hit forces are constantly at war, portin' into enemy land and breakin' them from the inside. I've not even got close to 2m archers yet and I can get pretty involved already...if I did have 2m archers I'd be on the front lines never w/o somethin' to do.
You either build up defenses and sit in your cities farming NPCs to feed your hundreds of thousands of archers, or you spend hours spamming cities with attacks and getting blank reports. That's the depth this game has to offer which amounts to none. Tic-Tac-Toe has more depth than this game.
Which woudl also imply that there are people out there w/ far more to use; she's not quite as endgame as she thinks? o:
One could also argue that chess has no depth because all they do is move the pawn forward every turn. Jus' because you choose to sit and farm, and you choose not to get involved in a war doesn't mean the game lacks depth; it means you're not doin' jack.
You don't quite know the most efficient way to take down defenses, do you? I might be getting blank reports, but I'm also not losing honor or sacrificing thousands of troops in huge waves for no return. End game isn't necessarily about sending 90k-125k troops in single waves anymore.
