Back on topic.
Most games see changes within 5-6 months. You may say this isnt like most games because they dont charge a monthly fee. Well this game isnt worth a monthly fee.
But take for example a game my wife plays on facebook called Farmville. The game is a lot like evony in that the developers only make money when players optionally spend RL money to buy ingame "cash". But its completely optional and my wife has never needed to spend money to buy ingame cash so she can get a black barn instead of a white one, anything players spend money on in farmville are cosmetic differences.
The game farmville has seen more updates, reduction in lag, game improvements in the last 2 weeks than evony has in 6 months. And they are bringing in much less revenue than evony.
Key difference between evony and other games with this kind of revenue scheme (compare to Mafia Wars or Farmville). Those games dont make changes and tweaks for the sole purpose of making it more appealing to players who spend money.
Ever since I started playing evony the only changes that are made are those that make spending money appealing, rather than improve the game.
So how about instead of changing the medal requirements of the top rank to make it so hard that people just give up and spend the money to buy medal boxes that you add a honor requirement to the ranks. This way everyone can rank up based on their know how, pvp ability, cooperation, coordination and skill, instead of farming/buying medals.
How about instead of having to buy a city teliport to get into the combat zone you put some items on sale for gold. Ill pay 50,000,000 gold for a teliport.
How about some new attack units? Some new buildings? An ingame map? A better alliance management tool? A item buying system based on ingame gold? More research trees?
Just show me you are willing to make changes to this game that are NOT centered around ways to make you money, are NOT centered around making buying cents more appealing. Make some changes that are just good for every player.
