There's no reason in this earth to stop scoutbombin' unless you want to stop everythin'. It takes 500k archers to kill 100k raams, but I bet people won't complain if they allow that sort of outnumberin' to happen...it's the point of wars....numbers do count.
I'll be sad and furious if they've removed scoutbombs becasue I'll jus' have to ask what goes next...do ponies suddenly lose the ability to attack? Do archers get their range cut in half? Do raams move even slower?
The only people who complain about scoutbombs are the ones who get bombed and don't realise how painfully simple it is to jus' stop the bomb right there. You can send a million scouts to bomb me and I don't have any doubts I'll lose less than 50k troops. And not a single one will be an archer.
Hopefully that report was a bug...it makes no sense to any degree; even if they fixed scoutbombs it still makes no sense becasue then they would still hit the ponies first..and they would still trigger traps. Unless there have been major mechanics changes, it makes no sense why that should happen. Consider it a one-off bug/glitch until we see another report like it.
@Doom, you've clearly caught me in yet another one of those times where my attention has obviously chosen to abandon me. I jus' wrote that section up quickly as I was doin' the rest and as you can see, it wasn't my top priority. Even now there are probably a lot of others I could add in if I stopped and thought about it for a while.
Regardless, you're correct about it; I'll change it to suit![]()
