Strugglin'
Simply put, I am struggling to understand this. I think I have the basic notion of Raibow down, but the mechanics is still a bit wacky for me. Let me throw some situations out there. All numbers are low to make it easier to describe.
Say you have 100 scouts, 100 calv, 100 Archers and 100 warriors as the forward charge against 50 ATs with gates closed. My thoery is that everyone will charge forward with the scouts and calv ranging WAY out in front and the warriors and Archers bringing up the rear. Now, once in range, the ATs will open fire on the archers or scouts (whoever enters range first) and continue until either the scouts are gone and they move to Calv, or the archers move into range and they open fire on them. If the archers manage to get into range, they stop and open fire on the ATs, possibly being passed by the warriors who could (in theory) provide some defense for the archers IF the gate were open.
My theory is that this battle would go something like this:
ATs wipe out the archers, switch to scouts (wiped out), switch to Calv (wiped out), and to warriors (d-e-d). The only possible error would be if the Calv can close in on the ATs fast enough and kill them, then they and the warriors have 100 rounds to do 10% damage to the walls.
Yes, this is a HORRIBLE battle plan, however, I am not looking for a plan of attack. Am I understanding the battle mechanics right?
