I have a prestige of 100K. I just attacked a city with only 50k prestige and only 1000 Archer Towers. I attacked with 20000 troops (8000 Warriors, 4000 Archers, 3000 Swordsmen and 4000 Pikemen). Yet I lost!!
How on earth can that be possible?![]()

Prestige isnt the deciding factor. Maybe he was garrisoned with a lot more troops than you brought to the party....and if it doesnt show in the report you failed to kill 10% of his troops when he opened the gate....
Also 4000 archers isnt enought to take down 1000 ATs...
Cheers guys. When you say troops garrisoned, you mean just the troops he had available in the barracks, right?
No, I am talking about his alliance supporting him with troops in his embassy, but as DarkBrandy and I suggested you didnt have enough archers in the first place. Keep in mind that prestige means crap in terms of being able to winning a battle. That member may be part of an alliance that has his back. They are able to get troops to him faster to him that you can get there(for the same amount of distance), provided that they have a relief station. They can also fill him up with a lot of troops from different members provided he has a high enough embassy. This is what this game is geared to in the first place. - The Alliance factor.....Keep that in mind....and Scout often....
Your average AT can kill with a ratio of 21:1. I see no problem in your defeat.
It is possible because you didnt send much of anything to attack him with. And what does prestige have to do with the battle. You lose because the other guy is obviously a superior player
