the truth of 2012

I hope Im not making a duplicate but I got to wondering alot, a guy who predicted the 2012 event said that we can give ourselves to solve this part of the problem ourselves and on the history channel it says so there and I beleive its becuase of a stupid machine does this bring out the truth?, In 2012 if we do nothing about it the world will end and another part is were gonna turn this machine on in 2012, so are those simular or no?btw I forgot to do the poll thing but if you had a chance to do so would you stop the machine from being built and how so?
