Now, as for the OP, he is saying that he has been seeing different shows on tv and different articles. Some talk about the world ending in 2012 according to the Mayan calendar and other ancient clues, and others mention that the world will end because of a machine we, humans, build ourselves and that we are due to turn it on in 2012. He is asking if they are related, if any of us believe in either of these things, and if we think that building a machine will cause the end of the world, would we turn it on?
