    I loved to play with dolls when I was really young and barbie was one of them. The houses, the car, it was a great fantasy world and I find it annoying that some places are banning them.

    I think if you're going to ban barbie you should also ban cosmo, vogue and every magazine with an unrealistic sized model on the cover or inside. You should also ban movies that have beautiful, sexy women/men in them.

    I never had concerns about my looks/self esteem when I was at the barbie-playing age.

    I think some Barbies do have non removable "bras".

    But ban Barbie?? They must be crazy..
    I don't think Barbies have anything to do with the whole, "Physical beauty is important blah blah blah..."
    I doubt little girls at the age of six (& that range) care about how they look like, 'cause I sure didn't. I think girls start to care about their appearance when they become a teen, and that's not because they're seeing these plastic Barbies everywhere. Maybe it's because of all of these shows on television and the use of the internet, especially now that we have Myspace & other social sites. They want attention & not only from guys, but from other girls.
    When you think about it, most of the females don't even do their make up and hair for the guys, but for the ladies.
    I don't care to elaborate. =P

    It really is more of a turnoff than any kind of attractive feature. Females always wonder why guys jus' cover up the face and look at the body on photos?

    a doll house like these never made me want to live in a big house at all I only felt like my barbies should when I once had a doll house of my own.

    Exactly. I am pretty sure we will be banning those Bratz Dolls as well as Barbie.
