Thread: Goodbye everyone

    Default Goodbye posts

I think that if he has put alot of time into playing this game, he's entitled to a goodbye posts. Civony is a great game, it's just really unplayable due to server lags, crashes, medal drop rates, and admins who don't give any feedback, answers or comments to disgruntled players. We have all posted comments, suggestions and pleas to civony without an response from them.

We read the forums when we can't log in or are in a high period of lag, gives us something to do. If everyone posts a goodbye message it will give the developers something to read when no one is playing this game anymore. They can see the where they went wrong and why they are not making any money.

Therefore, unless this policy changes, I will be leaving the game as well. If skill and experience don't allow a player to advance, then the game is not worth playing.
i whole heatedly agree with you... it should be skill and experience that allows players to advance and not how deep their pockets are.. i am over 40k prestige and with two cities and guess what? i will probably be that way until i quit.. which i have been thinking about doing because of the lack of advancement rewards without actual money out of my pocket.

Yes, you are right. I had forgotten about that (in another topic I was reminded -- I just got to Knight myself last night).

This does not, however, change the fact that the game is still free to play. Acquiring rank still falls into the 'privilege' category. Your 2 cities might not have a chance against a 9 city player, but through alliances you can be just as great. They require team work, sure, but that is the point.

I don't begrudge UMGE for trying to make money. That's how life works. I won't be spending my money, no, but if others want to let them. I'm going to enjoy the game as it is.

And I appreciate the juvenile response there, Meatdog. I asked legitimate questions for answers, and the other members answered those questions for me. All you did was show us what grade you are in. How's elementary school treating you these days?

amfoster - I wish you well, you'll find yourself stalled out and then you'll be found and farmed by a bigger fish I fear,

City's still there I just went off to the vets and to lunch just nuking the shortcuts now, if you can all wait about 90 minutes there will be a nice level 8 town hall -I'm also trying to max out the fields on my little village (hey his future is a farmed one)

    AMFOSTER,

Do you understand that when you can only have 2 cities if you are only knight.
Will the game be any more fun to you if you could no longer conquer your enemies cities no matter how strong your two cities is?
Just think about it before you comment any further, it already defeated the game.

There are players that posted here, have been playing the game for ages.
They understand how the game work, slowly when you proceed in the game you will know how we have all felt.

That cannot be a 'make or break' for the game, here. Medals, like guidelines, are privileges. If you don't want to pay for them, then don't. Your hero isn't going to be that much better if his/her loyalty is 70 instead of 80.
Medals are "privileges". r u ****ing kidding me dude, Nothing is more important to the advancement of the game than increasing rank and tile by gaining medals. More cities equal more resources, more gold for upgrades that cost a fortune for high levels, not to mention the ability to conquer cities. r u on sever 2? Give me ur location

I'm fairly new (4 days or so) and really like this game. But there's no question I'll be leaving if they do not give us a fighting chance with Medals so that we can actually advance. I want more than 2 cities.
It's a shame too because I really like the concept of this game.

yes this game has the makings of a great one.. except for the medal and lagging issues..

i know i am pretty new to civ.. but i am going to have to disagree with you amfoster. yeah two large cities is and will be great. However i want more then two. I want to see my empire grow to 9 if i can. So far all i have done is cleared a few villages and watch them grow back because of the medals. then i sit there and watch an ally or alliance member take the village I LOST TROOPS ON CLEARING all because of the medals. It isn't right...not in the least. Yes your alliance is there for you but what good are you to your alliance if you can not expand? 2 against 9? don't sound fun to me.. and i don't plan on being 2 forever. i will advance or i will leave and spend my money in tribal wars where the prices for premium are fair

I dont know what server you are on, but changing the rules mid way through a game is not on. Many people who started early enough have an overwhelming advantage because medals were made a 'privilege' after the game had started - not at the start. To reqire a greater level of 'skill', or payment for privilege after the game has started is deplorable, and has rightly given more than a few players the pip.
