    Default Pay?

I have heard (well . . . read) complaints about the 'need to pay' for things in the game. I must be missing something -- the only things I've seen that require 'paying' are those guidelines, which only speed up your building/researching. Have I missed something? How are THOSE a necessity?

I admit I'm new, but that isn't that big of a deal. My wife and I have to fight over the computer to play this game, which is a fact I love because there are very few video games I can get her in to. We started taking turns last night every hour, lol.

At the moment, acquiring medals (needed to advance title/rank and thus gain new cities) is incredibly difficult. Buying them is the only "easy" way the moment. And by difficult, reading the forums makes it seem damn near impossible right now.

all i know is i got one rose medal away from baronet.. and now it seems i will not be able to advance due to the fact i can not acquire this medal unless i purchase it.. so if anyone has received a medal from an attack lately; especially a rose medal please do tell what you attacked

i am quit irritated about this matter

Ah! I hadn't thought about the medal requirement for acquiring rank. That's a good point.

Does that mean having the rank of 'knight' only lets you have one extra city? You have to be the next rank up to have 3, etc.? That seems to be the way you're heading. In that case, I can see the upsettedness.

They need to think less about the profit margin on each game coin and more about the turn over on game coins. If they were cheaper to buy i'm sure more of us would be buying them.

yeah in order for you to acquire a third city you need to be a baronet.. and after that you trade MEDALS in to advance.. So unless you are very wealthy in rl and buy the medal boxes.. then all you are doing is wasting your time playing.

yes that is another good point.. if the prices were more reasonable then more people would stand a chance and would be happier to purchase their precious coins

Takes me back to what I said last week, alot of the players online are under 16, so not only do they have to have a way to transfer the money across, they have to have to money to transfer in the first place.

Im a knight and i'm 8 rose medals away from being a baron and yea the medal change has me a little skeptical but this is an massive multiplayer online. you have to fight to be the best and i understand your conflict with the older players ranking up and the new ones being left behind.

what i want to say i can not stress that everyone's point of view is skewed. you look at the medals being horrible and who knows maybe all this complaining has made them re-think the medal drop rate YOU do not know. also you can still build an awsome single city or even two cities if your lucky. that is ample enough to compete in this game. you need to strategies your builds like save long grueling builds for when your asleep and the really fast ones for when your doing chores and the medium ones say 20min - 1.5hrs go some where take a walk, run some errands. This game is not very LIFE demanding.

I'm in Finals right now and i'm still building my army and prestige and taking over slightly higher valleys to increase my production rate. I gain prestige almost every hour.

I didn't start this massive multilayer online game so i could rank up in one week and be number one for the remainder of the years im playing to work for my rank. I also plan on playing for months to come. who cares about lag most people that do probably left there browser open for hours eating up their cache memory.

What we need to be doing is ask for some kind of official drop rate, (if possible) and have are users go out and test it. if it doesn't hold and you attack 100 valleys and don't get 10 medals then we would have the backing to submit a bug report. we are going at this the wrong way.
