Starting A new alliance
Starting a new alliance is not an easy thing to do, with the main frontiers being finding active members and trying to weed out the inactives.
This guide is mainly for starting an alliance on a new server.
You have to start on the new erver as soon as you can, if there are no competition, you are the main hotspot for good players.
I have also discovered that if your alliance is number one on a new server, the best players on the server tend to come to you and that is where they stay.
Nextly you have to advertise, put the best ad on world chat and beginners chat. Another useful thing to do is to get them to type a random number say 55 for example for them to join, it tends to bring out the best response.
Make sure you always check your pending apps and when you start on a new server, accept everyone, as their prestige is most likely not updated.
Also, look on beginners and world chat and then click on people's name and invite them to your alliance if they are without an alliance and have decent prestige, then send them a message saying that you have invited them and to look in your embassy.
When starting on an older server...
Before you start your alliance, make sure you have a few friends or people you know around who will want to join you immediately. Also, make sure you have a very good prestige, that way when you invite people they will want to join you and not be against you.
When looking for new members, you have to scour the countryside around you looking for members to join and then mail them.
Other details to manage....
A key point in this is, feel free to delegate, if you have your most active members doingsomething to help the alliance, they will want to stay and help.
Make sure your alliance has a base state, that way you can help those who need it.
The introductiion. People want to join an alliance that is orderly so put a good welcoming message at the start to get them to join.
Weeding out the inactives...
If you are a good alliance, you need to have space for your new members, when expelling people, make sure they havent been active for a week or so. You can see this by looking in alliance, then members. Weed those out with less prestige.
Going to war....
Pick your fights, make sure you go to war with an alliance you know you can take. Secondly make sure your allies know whats going on and get them to help you.
Thirdly, look after all your members, if someone is picking on one of them, make sure you discourage the attacker from doing it again.
Thanks for reading, I hope you gained a bit of knowledge from this thread, it is my first.
