Thread: Do the more experienced players abuse their power?

  1. #51

    Default Power Corrupts

I'm wrestling with that question now. I formed an alliance with the aim to help beginning players. (I'm a teacher, sue me.) One of our members attacked three towns today. Not what I had in mind. But am I going overboard thinking of it in real terms. I'd probably be further along if I went bashing the little fellows myself. Even as the host of the alliance, do I really have the (right, oral obligation, whatever) to expel him for not living up to my standards?

gotta have standards. but if they had not been expressly stated previously, hard to expect others to uphold them.
    words are funny things
    they can explain, or confuse
    please use them wisely

It's a game deal with it, why let the little guy grow big? Attack him now and keep him away.

    Default No Choice...

I could come up with hundreds of reasons not to attack other players but I only need one reason why I should. The reason is to get stronger faster before you get attacked by others.

This is a war game, so play it as a war...

Yes the more experienced, bigger and more powerful players prey on the smaller weaker ones. Yes it's probably quite irritating if you're one of the victims. It's a pretty fair recreation of how the world works now, and worked then (the rough time period the game is set in) and probably always will.

Easy ways to help avoid getting attacked are:

make your cities an unattractive option for raiding through intelligent management
build a big ass army and fortifications during and after your beginner protection
join an alliance, or start one and try and gain friendly relations with a bigger one
save your teleports and fly away when a big attack comes at you
    kill them first

Besides, if the worst thing that happens to you today is a few of your pixels get killed count yourself lucky. It's a game, it's just meant for fun. Try not to take it too seriously, and enjoy it in the way that best suits you.
