Conquering Enemy Cities

Conquering cities plays a large part of alliance wars and general expansion of your empire. Conquering cities are generally used for increased unit and resource and production but also used as forward based when invading enemy territory.

When attempting to conquer another plays main city, the following checks should first be made.

* The player is not significantly stronger than you.
* You have a large enough army to protect both you current towns and the newly captured town.
* The enemy player is not in an alliance significantly stronger than yours
* Your alliance leader has given you permission.



The method for taking an enemy town quickly looks like this:

* 1 powerful attack with enough soldiers to destroy all fortifications
* 40 – 50 attacks just strong enough to destroy walls
* 1 Powerful attack to destroy the automatically dispatched enemies that remain in the city


When the loyalty of the city becomes below 10, check each war report before the following attack hits. You may have to recall you small attacks and launch the finishing attack in order to lower troop losses.

The city will become yours when the city’s loyalty is around 0, you'll have to wait for the public grievance to lower there loyalty automatically.

WRONG this guide failed for a few reasons:
1. If a player is significantly larger than you it does not mean that you can not take there city, that's what alliance is for.
2. no one big attack thing you layer it. For example if they have archer towers you dont send your cats and ponies at him with the archers because the towers will kill all the ponies and cats be fore they can do anything.
3.you dont have to send 50 attacks to destroy the walls that is what battery rams for and if you have like 500 battery rams you could get through the defenses real quick.
4. when the city is at 10 loyalty you only have to wait for it to go down on its own and when it is at zero send very few troops and the city is yours.

so this is why it is wrong!!!

so this is why it is wrong!!!

1. A reason why they have an alliance too
2. A layered 100k ram attack against one of my city given enough time would meet with 2m archers and layering firing at it. Useless.
3. As again, 100k battering rams would melt before my cities if my alliance and i move archers to defend it.
4. Loyalty from 15-0 is at 1 pg, every 6 min it drops down 1 loyalty. Gates open at 5 loyalty.

You cannot capture the player's main city .... ive made heavy attacks after the loyalty went zero n no armies left .. n still couldnt take it !!

you can capture his main city IF he has another city. you cant capture someones last and only city!

unless he closed his gate so therefore you need to send big attacks when the loyalty is 5 because his gates will open automatically.
