This is my 5th thread and it is about little bits and pieces about the game that arent the most known.
I have seen many of these things posted one at a time on threads and have decided it will be easier if they are all together.
Also, I am not just copying other people's threads, I have done thse things for myself and would never copy another's work.
Without further ado, I shall begin.
Beginners Protection.
Now this is something everyone knows about, but not everyone knows everything about it. It runs for 7 days and in that period you can not be attacked and scouted, but in return you cant attack or scout another player's city. However, valleys can be attacked and conquered. You can wit the 7 days to get out of it or, if you really think you are a strong player, upgrade your town hall to level 5 to leave BP.
5 Minute Speedup.
This one is very handy for when you first start off or are building a second city. When you build something and the original time is 5 minutes or less, you can click the speedup button and it gives you a free speedup. This is only the original time though, if you have researched construction and that has brought the time below the 5 minute mark, it will not speedup. This is the same with a mayor with politics that bring down a building's construction time. This can also speedup rearch that is under 5 mins as well. This trick, will not work with troops training or the building of fortification.
Heroes Attributes
When you appoint a hero as mayor, you will notice that the construction time or troops training time is reduced or even research takes a less amount of time. This is because of your hero's attributes. If they have a high level of politics, construction takes a less amount of time. If your mayor has high attack, training troops takes less time and when attacking you have a higher succes rate. When your hero has a high intelligence, research takes a less amount of time and if you send that hero on a scout report, the info is more detailed (this also depends on the level of informatics for scouting reports). How much time is decreased or the succes rate of attacks depends on the level of attribute of the hero. If it is high, those things take less. If its low, the changes will be less distinguished. You can upgrade heroes attrivutes by getting them experience points. Your mayor will gain experience points from building and training troops and research. Also, when your hero leads an attack they gain some experience points. You can level up the hero by selecting the hero in the feasting hall, and if the upgrade button is able to be presses you can upgrade their level. Every time you upgrade their level you will be able to add on an attribute point as you will notice that there is a plus next to each of the attribute. Click on one of these three depending on what attribute you want upped. By the way, you cant upgrade a hero while they are on march, it doesnt work.
When sending attacks.
You do NOT have to put in the required amount of food for the march, which is shown on the bottom right, into the amount of food resource you wish to take on the right. It will do this automatically. All the food you send will just came back with the troops unless of course it is a transport.
Ritual of Pact.
When someone in your alliance uses a ritual of pact, the alliance member limit is raised to 100. The person using this does not have to be the host, vice host, officer or presbyter. It can be anyone in your alliance that has it. Until a ritual of pact is used, the alliance member limit will be deterined by the host's embassy.
Making an NPC
Sometimes you need to plunder to get resources and there are no NPC's (Non playable characters) near you. To make one, it is simple. You need a flat, a spare city slot, 10k of each resource, and 250 workers. Conquer a flat near you. Then build a city on that flat. Build one rally spot, only level 1. Then send all your troops with all the resources they can carry bakc to you other city that is not being turned into an NPC. Next, wait till they get there and then going into the town hall of the city that isnt being abandoned and go into abandon, click on the city that you want abandoned on the town hall. Pretso, you have a brand new NPC. The level of NPC depends on what elevl flat you built the city on. This does not mean that if the city you had had a level 10 town hall or whatever level it was, it only depends on what level flat it was.
Thanks for reading that thread and I hope you learned soemthing you didnt know before. If you learned something, great that what I'm aiming for.
