Thread: Classroom Project of Evony. (Mass Effect)

Default Classroom Project of Evony. (Mass Effect)

So, I started a project with 14 of 28 students joining Evony. We played through the first week, most of us paying a few dollars to get us "a step ahead" little did we know this would be a waste of money.

After our beginner's protection wore off, I noticed that many of my classmates were not on as much, after inquiring them as to why they were not logging on anymore, they promptly showed me attack reports.... and quite frankly this is where the game fails tremendously.

Out of the 14 guys I got started up on this game, only 2 are still playing and I think their numbers are about to be brought down to 1 because I'm done with this heap. I spent all week rebuilding after my 9k AT's were wiped out in 1 attack, only to have them wiped out again just as soon as they reached close to where they were before.

So out of it all, I'm sure you can realize this game has a HUGE turnover rate because nobody will keep playing it. I find it atrocious that you can "pay" for digital property that someone else can STEAL.

This game is the poorest MMO that I've played in a long time and I will not be back OR will I recommend anyone to play Evony.

You just lost a bunch of paying customers.

Well, what server did you join? Where you in a relatively new one (Server 78 or above), or an ancient one (40 or below)? It really does hinge on that. Since Evony never resets, whoever gets the biggest hold and keeps it for a few days generally end up being the boss of their state.

58, and I've been in the larger or largest alliances, it doesnt matter. As soon as I ungarisson troops, or march, I get attacked almost instantaineously.

Almost like people are using bots/automation in this game and the developers don't care.

I think my next game will be one where I get something for my efforts that I can expect to be there when I log in next time.

Seeing as you seem to be a relatively intelligent player, I'll throw some tips at you.

1.) Always join the newest server possible. If you don't, you WILL be eaten by the 'big boys'.

2.) Never ever ever spend money on Evony in small sums. Either don't pay at sll or go all in, as those small sums will generally not help you enough for it to be worth it.

3.) Spam Archers and AT's, they are the only useful defense these days. Don't forget to farm those NPC's!

Small sums can work. If I wasn't poor I wouldn't mind stacking up on excaliburs.

Don't forget layers, abatis/trap on that defense, or it's not so useful.

True, true. Rainbows have been the bain of so many of my attacks. Then I quit the game, as it sucked up too much time and those dang OTB's wouldn't go away.

That's just how things go... Instead of spending money you should have just played around until to learn what you needed, then if it didn't work out you could just join a new server with a far better start. You can't willingly spend money on a pvp war game that runs 24/7 and not expect that things can go poorly.

Don't complain about being attacked. What do you purpose Evony do? Is this a war game? Or is it ballet?

Sure this is a war game, but it wont be much of a war game when theres only NPC cities.
