Aight.. I just gotta weigh in here, because I can and I'm bored...

Devek, I dunno what your particular malfunction is.. but you're way, *way* off on your medal rate quotes from the "newer servers"... Like.. not in the ballpark, not in the same city as the ballpart, and apparently, not even playing the same game as the kind played in the ballpark..

To the best of my knowledge, servers 55 and up have the same drop rate and medal statistics... this info I've gleaned from these forums, talking with alliance mates, and my own experiences..

I play on server 78. It's absolutely one of the "newer" servers with the crappy drop rate. And I will say this, unequivocably:

"If you're getting only 1 medal every 4 weeks, you obviously have no clue what you're doing and haven't bothered to read any of the "medal guides for newer servers" threads."

Most of my alliance mates that farm regularly for medals on server 78 get 2-3 per day. I don't, because I don't farm *regularly*.. I get a medal every couple days, because I'm doing other stuff wtih my troops.

One every 4 weeks? Mebbe if you weren't logged in for 3 and a half of them, or only play for 15 min a day..

It's simple.. on servers 55+... hit level 9 and 10 valleys. You will get medals. Raid em, don't conquer. Bam. There you go. There's plenty of guides in the guide forum on the subject with more details.

Anyway...

In response to the OP... Brightfang, I have to disagree with you on the reason the Evony Reps don't respond to the medal threads... I think it's much simpler than what you suggest...

I think they're simply not allowed to.

Most of the responses I've seen from Reps have been pretty carefully crafted.. either asking for more info on a suggestion, or *eventually* laying out the company's "official position" on a subject, or, in event of near-riots.. occasionally saying "we'll look into it" to calm the chaos.

But Evony, as a company, has this definite habit of "paranoid secrecy".. They tell us, the players, virtually nothing... communication *from* the devs might as well be nonexistant, if you eliminate the weekly "buy more cents" game mail spams.. and they've gone to extensive lengths to hide any kind of public access to data regarding who they are, who owns them, etc..

It would fall quite handily into their present behavioral model for them to have a very tight leash on any employees who have contact with the public.
