I can't remember my first impression of most forumgoers here.

Though I do remember yours. I thought you were a man at first.

Whoops.

When the first impression is negative it is usually much easier to remember. I thought my best friend was a snob when I met her, and I still tease her for it.

And I'm not offended. Gender isn't easy to tell on the internet unless the person is explicitly stating it with a name/ava/etc. And even then they could be lying. No girls on the internet and all.
