This is a fully self-contained soft good. Completely updateable, without the consumer having to physically take possession.
The automobile comparative fails in that it is a hard good, which leaves the company upon purchase. The company cannot upgrade it, without the consumer physically returning the product and even then upgrades would be limited to what would be physically viable.
The nintendo comparative fails, in that a separate physical game cartridge is simply not the same thing as a browser based game. While both are games, the one version is hard coded and in the consumers possession. The other, is hard coded true, but on hardware maintained by the company. The company is in the latter case, fully able to execute upgrades/updates without the consumer having to turn over their physical copy.
The two types of products are no more alike, than are beef on the hoof and garden goods grown in your backyard. Both are food, but neither is the same as the other.
As I said, a valid comparative would be Travian, or Fallensword or any of the myriad of other browser based past times out there. Virtually all of which, experience superior customer service, superior user satisfaction and superior gaming experience than does Evony. And ALL of them, cost substantially less if you wish to "pay to play". Indicating that my contention of providing a valuable product and THEN realizing valuable sales....holds water.
