Possible Alusair, though if the Devs coded it to simply truncate the decimal vs round-off according to accepted norms; then that is yet another issue. Further, it would explain only a 1 second variation in the displayed time, not multiple seconds.

More likely culprit, is server side lag combined with the failure to tie arrival times to Evony (server time). As I mentioned, several times the displayed clock on the Rally Spot marching orders screen, skipped a second. My personal theory, is that while the server "skipped", the troops marching did not. Therefore, as each skip is experienced, the arrival time of the troops gets pushed back, over and over and over again.

How to fix this? Simple really. When the troops are dispatched, the arrival time is tied to server time, and the remaining time of march is determined by subtracting the present time from the server time arrival, and that difference would then be displayed as the remaining time of march. In this fashion, as the server 'skips' a second...the remaining time also skips a second and the slated arrival time remains constant. With LAG being a well known phenomena on servers, this is an entirely predictable happening and thus should have been accounted for in the original coding.

While I will be quick to agree that "past performance is no guarantee of future performance" (most commonly used in the selling of securities, it would also be applicable here):

that the Evony team is *SO* poor in responding directly to consumer complaints

that the Evony team charges by FAR the highest RL $$ for in game coin of any game out there

that the Evony team has repeatedly failed to address problems with the game dealing with the very FUNCTION of the game

that the Evony team has longtreated its customers with sheer disdain...

is all well documented on these the very forums FOR the Evony game. With that kind of track record, I am reminded of an old saying:

"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

NOTHING the Evony team has done since March-April...gives one reason to believe vs hope, that AgeII will be any different.

As for why I dont just silently fade away? Why should I? As a consumer, do I not have the right if not the very obligation of bringing up a products gross lack of function and the distributors lack of concern?

Not when repeating the exact words of your preceders. That's just annoying.

And the Evony teams failing over the past several months to address those same issues is NOT annoying? Go away little one, come back after you grow up.

sigh indeed. There are no degrees of perfect. There is no such thing as the modifier "enough" when used in conjunction with the term 'perfect'.

This post has been bugging me all day and I FINALLY put my finger n the 'why'. The movement CANT be based on my computers internal clock. It HAS to be based on the servers clock. Why? If I went offline and the movement was based on MY comps clock....the army would freeze in its tracks and await its next check of a clock it can not currently access.
