Thread: Just harmless fun? or something more serious

Default Just harmless fun? or something more serious

For all you boneheads out there who think that doing this kind of stuff:

    http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?p=653082#post653082

is funny and makes you clever you might want to reconsider.

What that person did is called a "Denial of service attack" and is considered a crime in most countries.
Do yourselves a favor and dont risk getting yourselves into real life trouble over what you think is just a clever internet stunt.

    Cool

Seeing as no one has been arrested yet, I'd say that nobody cares.

Did you know that it's also illegal to go five miles over the speed limit?

So what will you do when they call your name and you're not ready to go?
Everyone will stare at you and tell you what you know
That you're in too deep and you can't quite keep your secrets, one and all

Hey, feel free to prove me wrong. I love watching a good court against...well, if it's associated with Evony, it's usually entertaining, to say the least.. I'm just saying, I know some people who think that, for example, Blizzard is going to get sued for having a raptor as a troll mount in World of Warcraft ((Not even kidding....they thought it was plagiarism)), and so I have a bit of a short fuse when people talk about legal actions because of video games.

Everything about this post is so ignorant and uninformed I`m not even going to try to explain the obvious flaws with it and with the thinking process that went into writing it.
If you are just going to condon, rationalize and encourage criminal activity, then I`m going to have to ask you to not post in my thread again.

I don't condone criminal activity, I simply realize that there is nothing I can do personally to prevent it apart from refraining from it myself. Seeing as I do that already, I take the opportunity to look for the humor.

It was pretty funny, but I'd be horribly mad if it happened to me. But in all seriousness, it's not that big of a deal.

Thats a civil court issue, copyright trademark infringement, that isnt a criminal issue.
