Then I found this post. And this is the one I'm putting my money on from now on. The only people I know that have found medals were taking level 9 valleys. It's about time someone verified that all the other guides were useless. Unfortunately, my puny little 3k army can't even throw a scary look at a level 9 without getting their anitomical structure rearranged. So I guess I better start crankin them out.
Just one thing though..........how do I feed 30k archers. I'm having trouble keeping my numbers green with the ones I have. I had my whole army take refuge before and I need advice on how to avoid that again. Send me a pm if ya can.

There are a number of ways to feed an army this sizes. Farm npc 5 with the number of ballistas and transports needed or sell lumber and buy food.

are the most common ones I hear.

I farm the npc and farm a handful of grasslands/swamp/lakes once an hour on these you can get 1m to 1.5m of food most of the time from the level 10s. Same rules as medal farming if they have cav or archers leave them alone. So archers can start bring in food once you have enough of them.

But the second one is taken a chants that you will not have anywhere to farm some days.

Also if you are trying to build an army while farming for medals hitting forests or hills gives about the same amount of lumber or iron. Deserts also give 1m stone but who cares about stone...

Flatlands are good for both food and lumber. One attack will be lumber and the next will be food.

The 35k is a good number due to most heroes can attack and not lose any. As in I can send my int or pol heroes out to farm for medals. With attack heroes you can send less but I really don't suggest this. Less mean less loot comes back as far as food,lumber, iron, or stone. Also having to remember is this my pol or int heroes gets to be a pain.

My lowest attack on any hero has been like 20 so I don't know about lower attack levels.
