We have all logged in one morning only to find that the 15 minute maintenance has become 4-8 hours. It's not that maintenance took extra long. The next time we log in, we find the version number is up a few digits. So obviously there was a mini patch. Patching is almost never announced ahead of time. it just happens when it happens.
And the QQ's about troops loss, starvation, incoming attacks, and outgoing attacks all begin anew.
Even the most experienced game has problems when it releases a major patch. The next month is full of daily mini-updates that fix this or that problem. They close unforeseen loopholes and modify stats of unbalanced units and items.
My request is this...
PLEASE, give us at least one week advanced notice before the date you decide to install.
Then we can prepare for at least a week of unforeseen downtime from the inevitable mini-patches that follow up. We can stock up on food. Negotiate non-aggression pacts for that week. Lower troop levels. We can know that we should not plan any complex synchronized attacks on patch day.
I'm not asking for release date info now. We have all been told it will be "soon". I'm merely asking for a heads up before patch day to minimize QQ threads and for a little prep time.
