Default Scouted & Plundered by member of my own alliance

I'm being scouted at intervals by a nearby member of my own alliance. Unsettling but whatever. Then yesterday he attacked and plundered (= stole!) one of the valleys I had conquered for additional resources. I sent him a note asking why he was attacking a member of his own alliance but have not yet received a note back from him. He did, however, scout me again today. How should I deal with this situation?

There is an officer kicking him and re-inviting him so he can attack an alliance mate.

Ask your leadership why this is happening. They might think you are inactive. I know my alliance will farm inactive members just to keep their production going. The occasional plunder will keep resources under "capacity". We are more than happy to send them resources when they return in order to rebuild.

That's my best guess. They think your inactive.

First you need to check that he is still a member of your alliance. Slight differences in name can sometimes be missed. You should have co-ordinates on the reports to show where the attack came from, so check and see. If his flag is white or red, he is not in your alliance. If his flag is green, then he is in your alliance and something else is going on.

You need to talk to the leaders of your alliance and find out if this member is asking to be expelled and let back in at times. If they are allowing this to happen then you have bigger problems than just an attack.

His flag is green so I didn't double check the spelling of his alliance. I haven't gone to the alliance leadership with this just yet but I did ask another alliance member "next door" to me if he has also had this problem or has any more info and his answer was no for both questions. There is no way anyone would have the misimpression that I'm inactive unless there is a faulty signal from the game itself. I'm online nearly all the time and have been trying to keep something building and something researching in both of my cities as much as possible.

Go to the alliance tab and look at events. It will show you which officer kicks and re-invites the player.

Ask that officer for the story. They should know the reason.

The Alliance tab within the game application? The list has positions such as Host, Presbyter, Officer, Member but doesn't specify who can do what. Am I looking in the right place?

You are at the right place

Look at the top of the pop-up window. There are the tabs. You are looking at the "member" tab. Find the "events" tab. You may have to scroll a few pages with the right arrow in the lower left corner.

OK, I see the list but it is only 1 page and mostly lists people who have resigned from positions, a couple who have promoted others. Nothing about kicking and reinviting.

Resigning can mean demoting or quitting the alliance. Expel means kicked out.
Look for the name of the player who plundered you. There is an arrow in lower left corner to go to pages from previous events

In the view that I have, there are forward and back pointing arrows in the lower RIGHT corner but, again, there is only 1 page and it says nothing about expelling and the name of the Lord involved in this is not on that list. He is, however, on the list of members of our alliance and, interestingly, it says that the last time he was online was 10-22. However, in my report history I have reports of him scouting my cities on 10-23, 10-24 and 10-31 as well as the plunder of one of my valleys on 10-30. I did an advanced teleport on 10-23 to my current location to get away from an enemy neighbor who was seriously farming both of my cities, obviously trying to capture them, and I just got tired of it so I moved to a neighborhood where there are others in my alliance as well as a few from friendly alliances. So, I wasn't even his neighbor as long ago as 10-22!
