    Default Rally Spot: exercise accuracy

I sent scouts to a level 7 grassland, from which they returned with a report saying that there are 1600 warriors, 400 pike-men and 350 swordsmen.
I used the Rally Spot to do an exercise to make sure that I don't lose a single archer in the battle.
I sent 2000 archers, which is way more than the minimum needed to win.

I LOST all of them, where the Rally Spot said I will lose none.
This is an astonishing 100% error margin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a war horn applied too.

My military tradition level is 8.
    My archery level is 8.
    My medicine level is 8.
My iron working level is 8.
My metal casting level is 8.
    My hero's attack is 70.

By the way, I attacked the same valley with the same number of archers, but with a hero with attack 86, and had no losses.

Exercise = crap. It did exactly what it was supposed too, but there is no way to account for hero stats, or research. The valley had lvl 7 0f everything, which is why you lost.

    One word: Compass

Compass level drastically effects the battle once you start getting over 5 or so, especially when sending marginal numbers of ranged troops against foot soldiers. With their level 7 compass they'll be moving into melee range of your archers 70% faster than exercise will predict. And since the goal of an archer is to kill off all the attackers before they get in range, this drastically reduces the amount of time they have to accomplish this goal. Once a foot solder is within melee of an archer (especially swordsmen), it's pretty much over for the archers.

Moral of the story: Don't trust exercise. At best use it as a rough guideline but always double the number of troops it says will get the job done.

For reference, I wouldn't use less than 5000 archers against a level 7 valley with footsoldiers. It might be a tad overkill, but at least I know all those archers are coming home.

the exercise function assumes that all of your tech is zero but in fact they aren't that is why u get that result.

Exercise is just an estimate. Sometimes, it wont give you the right info and sometimes it will. Really depends on troop defense and life.

just do the excersise over and over.
it will give different results every time.
besides, exercise is only good when it is a hot girl without a bra doing jumping jacks.
