I think the OP needs to think about this guide a bit more.

While yes this situation works against Swordsmen and Swordsmen alone, if you are facing Archers and/or Cavalry you are bound to take losses.

I am going to edit the first post, place a disclaimer stating this fact and message the OP to take some advice on level 10 valley's.
