Lately I've been passing the time by replaying Earthbound on a SNES emulator. I don't have the free time or the patience for anything more complicated right now, and....it really is a forgettably entertaining way to kill time.
I always have my bible, The Hitchhikers Guide, sitting near on my desk or nightstand and obsessively flip through whenever I'm in the need for inspiration or guidance.
And if it's in the wee hours of the day, I'll turn on the AM radio and tune into Coast to Coast. Though...I really am not enjoying George Noory's run. If Art Bell isn't going to do more than the occasional weekend/holiday show, I'd much prefer Ian Punnett to take over full time.
