Off Topic Description

Hi, I'm Joe, and I'm your friend! Today we're going to be talking about the Off Topic Section of the Evony Forum. There are many things to talk about, and not enough space to describe it, so I'll try to explain as much as possible while keeping it in the post limit.

Official Rules - Read First

First things first, there are some deffinitions which you should know about. Here's a few:

Spam- Anything that is completely pointless. (c) Pialpha

De-rail- Sending a thread off the original topic to something else completely random. Sometimes classified as spam. (c) Pialpha

Facepalm- The act of puting one's hand onto one's face and sighing, as if showing distress. Usually used in an insulting manner.

Troll- One who annoys others for their own pleasure.

Flaming- Another word for "arguing", Flaming is throwing insults at other posters, with or without good reason.

Arumen-The Law- Awesome. Pi note: Several Bribes were accepted in the writing of that Definition!

Well, now that we've got some of those out of the way, I'd like to get to some of the older posters of OTD. You should get to know everyone (Except Milo! He scarry!).

Alive:
1. Lord Arumen - The oldest, living member of OTD. He has just earned Modship, and is now "the Law".
2. Wpack10 - A friendly poster, he rarely sets threads ablaze. He has aquired citizenship to Off Topic and all of it's providences.
3. King Alboin - The barkeeper. He spends most of his time in "The Bar", a thread to relax and talk with people.
4. Heraclius - This man has made the RPG section his home. He spends most of his time there, and is actully quite friendly.
5. Nerevar - Another old OTDer, he has just recently come back as "Nerevar2" dude to a certain... incident.
6. Borune - Bo rarely comes to OTD nowadays, but he is usually active in the RPG/Stories section. He loves to RP and write.
7. StormSurge - Formally known as "Demonhero", he has aquired a large scar due to a fight with a swan. This got him the nickname "StormSurge", for some odd reason which nobody really knows. He is one of OT's most loved posters.
8. Milonius - A true pyromaniac, he LOVES to flame. I mean, he really does. Even though he may appear mean at first, he really is a nice guy after you get to know him.
9. Candlelite - A kindly poster, she is mostly known for her magical abilities. She is known to be a loyal member to OTD, and will most likely stay until Evony dies.
10. Pialpha - OTD's Historian. He has been here for most of the major events, and has writen about them all.
11. Trogdor1316 - One of OTD's most wittiest posters. He likes to make jokes often, and can come up with a comeback to anything you say to him before you even get the chance to snap your fingers.
12. Joemanf - Know to most as either "Head of the Wizard Mercenaries", "Old Guy", or "That one weird kid". He has been a OTD member for a long time, and has the #1 posts on the forum.
13. Wildor - This women-loving, sword-weilding, Arumen-loving mod is a firm member of OTD and GD, which is a rare combo. He loves Rainegirl, a woman loyal to the GD cause.
14. Woody - OTD's most normal poster. He is from Scotland, and was forum-born in the RPG/Stories section.
15. EduLeics I - The Dutch Lord of Evony. He loves to spend time in OTD, and loves talking about his homeland.

Near Death:
1. Drizztix - A clever poster, he's funny as hell. He comes in every once in awhile to make a couple of funny remarks, then leaves for about a month.
2. Ms. Arianna - A beautiful, blond hair girl in her twenties. Almost every man is all over her.
3. Bickyz - Another Mod of OTD, he doesn't come on very often. He has made some great threads in the past, and is obsessed with Biskets (Cookies).
4. Logrus - A former mod of OTD, he quit his job because it became to much for him to handle. Rumor has it that he has an alt.
5. BBQ_Sauce - He was in OTD in the earlier days, but has slowly been fading from the forum.
6. Conrad_Jalowski - OTD's most intelligent(A1) poster. Ever. He mostly lurks nowadays because of the lack of intelligent conversations.
7. Elsworth - He has just recently left the Evony Forum. Rumor has it that he hangs out in the Pendragon forum.
8. darkchicken - A family guy lover. He also liked making sarcastic remarks. He also invented "quote altering".

Dead:
1. Lord Drazsyr - The leader of the Golden Age of OTD. He was a true Domo worshiper. Died a natural death. Many of the Old timers miss him.
2. Zenrax - An extreamly witty poster who loved lititure and destruction. He also had a insulting personality, which a lot of people loved. Unfortunantly, this personality got him killed.
3. Chinothepony - A cool poster who loved OTD. He died right after he became a mod.
4. Foxy - An "innocent" girl, who pretended not to know when people made innuendos, and she herself did it all the time. Loved by many.
5. Dankfire - The creator and oringinal owner of the Bar. He was one of the first people to come to OTD and establish the foundations. Died a natural death.
6. ABakker - A freedomfighter of the Evony Forum. He tried to make Evony see the wrong which they had done. Was assassinated.
7. Ruyuk - A Romainian poster from Romainia. He was once a mod. Once he found his true place of happiness, he closed his eyes and death took him.
8. Shinigami - Another mod of Old. His best best post ever, in my oppinion, was on how to survive a zombie attack. Died a natural death.
9. !mINDsELFiNDULGE! - Once again, another mod. She named herself after her band, Mind Self Indulge. Died a natural death.
10. Swansong - An alchoholic. She spent most of her time in the bar. Her forum death - she got on a plane, and that was the last anyone ever heard of her. Most likely what happened - the plane crashed.
11. Harok - A true sarcasmist. He loved making the most sarcastic remarks. Died a natural death.
12. Kittiana - Once a mod, she was another od OTD's best posters. She was also a bar owner at one time. Her death - she went out into the wilderness without telling anyone, and died. Loved by all.
13. Nesticles/Nesterus - OTD's most loved troll. He would troll for fun, and everyone, ironically, would love it. One of the very few to fade into the distance.
14. Thor - I don't know much about him, except that he was once a mod, and that he died a natural death.
15. Kempion - A troll. He made to many trollish remarks, and was killed. However, being a necromancer, he came back many times to troll some more. He never suceeded.

Well, I think that's everyone. If I missed anyone, just tell me.

The Beginning:
When OT began it was the epitome of fun on the forums, if you want to see more about this time that I cannot describe too well, read through the archives.

The Golden Age:
Under the Domo-ruler, Lord Drazsyr, OT reached its peak, most people classify this as the most fun times in OT.

Swansea Incident:
Once a thread was made about Elsworth and his failed RPs, Elsworth reported Demonhero and an ex-rep named Swansea banned him. OT went into an uproar and staged a forum riot, because of this, the reps let Demonhero make a new account called Stormsurge. Unfortunatly, Swansea hated and watched OT from that point on.

Sovverf Incident:
Sovverf was a mod picked by Swansea, who went rogue, merged EVERY thread in OT into one, and banned most of the Off-topicers. The mods managed to fix most of the damage, but several threads still have not been recovered. This incident also doubled the post count of most OT'ers.
<--!Editor Note: This may be Speculation: TWO of the mods Swansea picked went rogue, the rest went inactive. Swansea also said that Sovverf was hacked but clearly he was not.!-->

Lyla incident:
A member named lyla posted her picture in the photos thread, and was made fun of by Milonius and Zenrax. Milonius and Zenrax were both banned, Milonius appealed and was unbanned, but Zenrax unfortunatly was perma-banned by Swansea. In the end, Zenrax is perma'd, and lyla never returned.

Sephiroth Era:
SephirothX was a spammer, everyone in OT wanted him to be banned, but unfortunatly he did nothing that could get him banned. During this period, people began to think that OTD=Free Spam Party. The few remaining Old OT members tried to fight back via flames and reporting, but it was futile. By a lucky twist of fate Sephiroth did something that finally got him perma-banned.

Shops Era: (A2)
This era was a pleasant spam filled time period that really had no point. But no one minded and we all had fun.

New Mod Era:
Currently OT seems to be getting better, although a slight dissidence seems to be forming. Swansea has left. Though others seem to have taken his place.
