Thread: Warning or no warning?

    Default Warning or no warning?

Something evony devs have done confuses me. Well more than one thing, but here's the latest. With their last message about bot usage, they have said that "Players caught using a bot program to automate any of their characters' actions will have their characters removed and their account banned. They will not receive a warning." However, the title of the message was "warning to bot-using accounts!"

Which is it? If you are giving a warning, you can't exactly say there will be no warning, can you?

Yeah, I have a twisted sense of humor. Take it for what its worth.

Maybe a good question would be:

Is there anything evony devs have done that doesn't confuse us?

Yeah and what about the players that are obviously cheating and have as much as admitted it, and I don't mean bot users. Like the infamous player on server 67 that spins the wheel all day, every day, changes her name about once a day and has the highest ranked hero on the game that translate to something like a base 500 attack or politics or whatever she feels the need to make him today. If they can't do anything about her, then why even bother with bot users?

yea i am getting tired of this game, they give a warning saying there will be a warning, they threaten legal action that they have no ground to stand on.

i dont use the bot but find it funny they have a autorenew program that is a trap yet threaten legal action against players ogf their game.

looking forward to the first media break of attempted legal actions against a gamer by evony.

the game that steals graphics, steals game ideas, has the worst customer support for any game, steal pics from custume sites for its ad's and runs some of the shadyest money scemes on the net.

dont get me wrong the game is fun and addictive. but theres no real support. you get can auto responces to mail and never anything more.

the devs dont keep the players upto date as much on game changes.

also i hope im not the only one who screen shots games i play, it could come in handly one day you never know.

like say oh evony trys to sue you when you have done nothing wrong.

like say they investigate you for cheating or this bot that they speak of usage. since there is no real way to prove you are or arnt using a bot they would have to assume you are at the end of the investigation. in turn they ban your account and try for legel action at which point your screen shots that you take through out your game play show your legit play. and the second your account get banned you take your pc down to the cops or a pc tech and have everything done on that pc logged, like the fact no bot program is on your pc or ever has been. BTW deleting something doesnt cover up the trail just so you know so for you guys who use bots your lame.
screen shots and turning you pc over can make for a great counter suit and can net you some cash.

Plus since evony seems to be hurting for money so much that they have to do all theses packages and autocents programs.... a counter suit might not only net you money but end the online game known as evony if enough people are able to win the counter suits.

I heard that evony was created by a person that employed people to farm gold on WoW and made money selling it to other players. Isn't that hypocritical for someone to try stopping automation when they themselves condoned it earlier.

On one server I know of a whole alliance that got banned, they were all using bots. So I would take the warning seriously.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

Proof please, i don't believe 1 word of that.

Your on the "Bot Farmer" thread giving snide comments about bot users, all of a sudden you know of someone who knows someone who heard that an entire clan got banned for botting.

Server and Clan name to be posted thank you very much.

Odds anyone that this is fabricated ?

Hmmm...maybe I should look into this bot thing more. If I get banned, I could get so much housework done!

Seriously, though, if they keep banning entire alliances, then there will be no one left to spend money and that will leave them where?

I would take what that guy said with a HUGE MASSIVE dose of salt, problem with being online people are not accountable for their posts.
