I am all for DRM. In a free economy how is anyone supposed to make money if one person buys a dvd/cd and gives it away to 100's of people for free? The worlds economy depends on as many people as possible making purchases, even for as little as 20 cents a day. Without constant purchases the GNC of individual countries will drop, devaluing their currency and destabilizing their economy. Of course it would not be overnight, it could take a generation to get to this point. But since bartering is no longer a viable form of economy and monetary purchasing is because there is value placed on currency, the world must depend on constant purchases by consumers.
