Thread: I lose, because of medals

Default I lose, because of medals

Because of the medal situation, I was forever stuck at Viscount, while those that had the luck or the foresight to mass medal farm, or got lucky on roulette wheel, or bought plenty of coins, were able to progress.

    And suddenly, I find this

Two low level villages pop up suddenly, sporting my enemy alliance's flag. I'm guessing this is why they didn't change everything to hostile when they started ops against us.

GG. I might be able to defeat that army. Might. But I definitely won't recover from it fast enough to deal with the other ***** moving in on my territory. Game over I lose. Why? Because I'm a damn Viscount, and I already maxed out my cities to even get here, and they're Furtin's, with obviously open city slots.

My growth has been permanently delayed, to the point where this is checkmate. They're able to hit me at any of my cities quickly and efficiently. All they have to do is wait until I'm not on. If I attack them, I'll lose too much, and won't be able to handle the other Furstin who moved in. If I don't attack them, I'll wake up one day to find all my cities except one gone.

Thanks for not fixing the medal situation sooner. I'm going to send them my surrender right now. I tried to create an alliance out of the nearby players, and I might have succeeded given more time, but apparently time wasn't an option here.

Thanks UMGE, for showing me that I can lose in the face of stacked odds. Earlier I'd thought I could triumph no matter what, and that there wasn't any alliance that could take me on in my area, but I guess sometimes the stack is just too high.

Edit: He can rebuild quicker than I can, even though I technically won the battle.

I've been trying for 5 days to get medals without any success.

If it's not fixed in the next day or two I'm finished with the game.

what you should've done was take over the flats near your city. I have a lot of flats held all around me. Then in the future when you do get your medals you got the land to build your cities.

But, I feel your pain. This game is a very dog eat dog game. And then a kick 'em while the dog is down. Truce is the only method I see as to try to hold on and build things back up. Even then its 12 hours on and 12 hours off. That'll be good for building one queue of army.

I have control of a bunch of flats around me, just not those two. I didn't even think of the idea they used. It all makes sense now though, why they didn't declare us hostile immediately. They didn't want me to see the red. It was only by complete chance that I was caught off guard by the appearance of a new low level city bearing their flag. When I was asleep though I was hit with surprise 1 scout takeovers of all my valleys, which is how I knew we were getting targeted.

    lol
you cannot take over a flat to build a new city
if you cannot get the medals,
i have been taking out alot of soldiers in like 2 week witout
getting eny medals, and if you dont get medals you cannot move up ind the game.

i would not use my monny on this game becourse the pirses is too high.

and what´s with the new servers gg
try getting the game run correctly before setting up new servers.

this game is in need of profesionalism.

and now the tool bars loool.

I understand your feelings, but you gotta admit that, even with more towns, chances are you'd still be taken out. They've planned their strategy well and are ganging up on you. Even if you had Furstin and nine cities at your disposal, two of them will still out produce you. They can reinforce each other meaning you're stuck on the defensive. Medals or not, without any assistance from your allies, you were going to lose.

I'm fighting Furstin's head on at this rate. I can't win, simply because of the city and barracks difference.

Thanks UMGE, for making it so that a vast number of players are stuck forever.

In truth the game is dying very fast now.

I am of course in one of the two top clans on my server. They are allied to most of the other top clans. Natural to do so. Self-interest always wins. Even those clans now have, however, long "tails" comprising players who are inactive or largely so.

The leading clans will not, however, recruit new players. At least not for the most part since such players will never progress. Mostly these are "farmed" until they leave the game. It doesn't take long.

Sometimes their cities are converted to "barbarian" by capture and release, thereby reducing the number of flats. Barbarian cities offer a higher farming return than new players do.

Nowadays I only pop in once or twice a day to make a few adjustments. Not worth chasing after medals. The tedium and effort is not worth it.

So much for Evony. That's that then.

So much for reading about upcoming changes.

The doom and gloom stuff is just a wee bit premature.

It is good that the developers are making changes to the medal drop rate. The thing is, it took them too long to fix it and some significant damage has already been done. A lot of the new players were unable to advance to a point where they can properly protect themselves and quite a lot have been completely destroyed and converted into farms the moment their 7 day protection wears off. This resulted with quite a lot of players that completely quit playing. The game is actually getting boring because theres nobody who actually developing to a point where they can become a challenge. Sure they can have over 100k honor and a trillion prestiege, but if that person has only one city, he'll always just be considered as a farm to me. That's because I will always outnumber his army 8 to 1. My suggestion to the developers is to work faster. Don't let your veteran players get bored.
